Real Men Wear PINK!

Look at me in my Eskimo Joe's Outfit! Mommy and Daddy bought this in Oklahoma for me before I was ever born. Daddy is an Okie... he's not really from Muskogee even though Mommy always says he is. This picture was taken in the morning before Mommy and I went to visit Grandmother.... Being the great Mommy that she is- mine didn't pack any extra clothes for me. Wouldn't you know it- I had a blow out. Since Mommy went to run an errand, Grandmother decided to take advantage of the opportunity and put me..........
IN PINK!!!!! Can you believe it?! Mommy got back and Grandmother was just laughing. She told Mommy that I had a blow out. Mommy said, "Great- did you put him in a dress or something?" Grandmother replied, "OH! I wish I'd have thought about that! You have to see him though- he's asleep on my bed." Mommy walked into Grandmother's room and I this is what she saw! Funny how I blend so nicely with the pink rose printed sheets. THANKS Grandmother. Good thing REAL men wear pink!

NEW TOYS!

Well... yesterday was the Fourth of July and the fireworks our silly neighbors kept shooting off kept me awake! Mommy finally went over and told them to knock it off at midnight. They were drunk and really rude but finally ran out of fireworks. I told Mommy to go light some black cats in front of their house at 6 a.m. this morning to let them see how it feels... but she didn't.
Last night I was laying on the bed with Daddy and I grabbed this little round neck pillow that's kinda like a bean bag. I kept pulling and pulling on it until I got it all around my head. I guess it looked like I had a 'fro, so we took pictures!

I got a new play gym that is supposed to grow with me. Right now, I like to kick it which pushes it away so I can't reach it. Really, I just do it to annoy Mom and Dad so they have to keep putting it back- just don't tell them. It was really funny watching them try to take it apart. You see, Mommy put the blue play bar on upside down. Evidently, this toy is much easier to put together than it is to take apart. Daddy had to help and they played tug of war with it... then Mommy put it back together- WRONG AGAIN!! Daddy says he may not have any hair, but Mommy has blond hair- whatever that means. Anyhow, now it's put together correctly. Tata for now!

Daddy's Britches

Today Daddy was going through some old stuff that Grannie gave him. For some reason, she gave him a pair of shorts and socks from when he was a little kid. He said maybe they were his favorite or something. Anyhow, Mommy thought he should try them on me. See how funny I look!

While I'm still too little to wear Daddy's britches (and socks) right now, I know that I'll grow into them some day.

Fun in the Sun... A Trip to Gram and Grandpa's

Mommy and I drove down with Laura and Ashtyn to visit Gram and Grandpa last Wed. I heard Mommy and Laura talk about how interesting it is taking a four and a half hour trip with a three and a four month old. I think it took longer than it should.

We had a ton of fun! We went swimming every day, I went on my first boat ride, I touched my first real live fishy, I even got to waterski (okay- that was Cheney, not me.) Here are some pictures I want to share with you....

Looky here! Grandpa caught this fish and let me give it a great big hug. I thought it was quite interesting, but you know- I always thought fish were bigger than this. At least they sound bigger in the stories Grandpa tells about the ones that get away.
Just after these pictures were taken, I tasted river sushi. I put my slimy hands right into my mouth!
Here I am with Gram and Ashtyn in the boat. We were going REALLY fast- pulling a skier behind us (just don't tell Uncle Bobby, okay.) I loved the feel of the wind through my hair... fuzz... okay, I loved the feel of the wind across my cheeks drying the drool to my chin.
WOO-HOO! I love to swim with Ashtyn.
I love the taste of chlorine, too. Yummy.

Mommy lets me go under water sometimes. First she blows on my face (this helps me take a big breath of air) and then she dunks me really quickly under the water.
When I come up out of the water I always blink my eyes and spit- but I haven't cried one single time! Don't worry, Mommy's not being mean. This is actually how you're supposed to teach babies to hold their breath under water. I hope next year I can swim as good as Chandler.
One day I went swimming with Cheney, Chandler, Lisa, Laura, Ashtyn and Mommy.
The next evening Gram and Grandpa went swimming with me.

Daddy came into town on Friday night... guess who I went swimming with on Saturday? YUP! DADDY!
Since the sun was shining, I got in my float and just chilled out for a while. I think I know why Mommy loves the water so much. It's great. Sure does make me sleepy, though.

Saturday night we went to Clear Spings for onion rings and catfish. I wasn't allowed to eat any, either. SO not fair! Afterward, we took some "great grandkid" pictures. Here we are! Aren't we cute?!!

Four Month Check Up

Guess what I got to celebrate my fourth month of life? FOUR SHOTS! Ouch. I did pretty good, though. I've actually been acting better today than I did after my two month shots and they were exactly the same.

Anyhow- Dr. Yok said I look pretty darn cute (duh!) and that I'm a good baby (double duh!). I weigh 14 pounds 10 ounces and am 25 inches long. I'm holding steady in the 50th percentile for weight and just about the 75th percentile for height.

This afternoon we went to visit our friend Tracy in the hospital. She's on bedrest until she has her baby Blake. Please keep praying for baby Blake because I really want to get to play with him. He might be really sick when he is born and will probably have to stay in the hospital for a while but I'm really praying that God will allow me to have a new friend and make baby Blake well.

This Weekend- Family Fun at NRH2O

We had a busy weekend! Aunt Pat, Uncle Larry and Cousin Cheney came to visit me on their way to meet Grandma at the family reunion in Oklahoma. We went to dinner on Friday with all of them plus Laura, Bobby and Ashtyn. Then on Saturday morning, I decided to be a really early riser- all on my own. We went to breakfast with the Weirs and then to Target. Later on in the evening we went shopping at Babies R Us and got snow cones. (Well- I didn't get any, but Mom and Dad did.)

Sunday after church and a nap we went to NRH2O. It's a little water park in North Richland Hills. Mommy and Daddy got season passes so they could take me there. Mom and I went by ourselves this past Wed. but Daddy got to come with us on Sunday. We had fun in the lazy river and then in the pool connected to the kiddie pool. Daddy said it was probably like swimming in a toilet, but I still had fun. (Plus- I spit up all in the pool so I really can't complain if other people peed in it.)

I get to wear a lifejacket sometimes at NRH2O. It makes it easier for me to float on my back in the lazy river and gets me used to wearing one so I don't throw a fit when I HAVE to wear one (like this week when I go out on the boat - hint hint Gram and Grandpa!) So far the life jacket doesn't seem to bother me... mostly I just like to eat it!
