Don't Feed the Animals

As many of you know, my Grandpa has this condition where he has to monitor his sugar intake. I can't IMAGINE not being able to eat ALL the sugar you want... but Grandpa can't. I personally think he is fibbing and just saw how much slobber went into those brownies we made (didn't we make them EXTRA sweet that way?).... in any case, he didn't eat any of our brownies- so we fed him popcorn.

Baking Brownies with Gram

This weekend Gram and Grandpa came up for a visit. After Dinner, Gram supervised Ashtyn and me making brownies.

For some reason, it seemed we didn't have enough brownie batter... I wonder where it all went?!

I PROMISE... they made us do it!

Downtown Cowtown- The Cattle Drive Experience

You know, I've lived in Fort Worth my ENTIRE life... and Mommy and Daddy had never taken me downtown to the cattle drive. For those of you who DON'T know, Fort Worth is also know as "Cow Town" due to the it being the center of major cattle trade for, well, decades. Six days a week, twice a week, they drive cattle down main street. Now, I thought it would be very Pampalona-esque with lots of cows running at high rates of speed, me reaching out into the street only to be yanked back just in time, escaping getting gored in the stomach. Much to my surprise, it really was just a few old longhorns lazily strolling down the street with not a care in the world. Anyhow- I still had fun.
Waiting impatiently with Mommy.
Here they come... with the mounted police on their heels.Though the actual cattle drive was somewhat anticlimactic, it is kinda cool that the cattle business is alive and well, and such a big part of Fort Worth life. It's amazing that it's right downtown, too.
After the "drive" we went and looked at the longhorns in their home.
BEEF... it's what's for dinner!! :)

Sleeping Cousins

Can you believe two TWO year olds could fall asleep face to face? We just had to stop long enough and we were OUT. Mommy snuck in and took our pictures without us knowing.

Visit with Grandma the Great

My Mommy had a "BIG" birthday in August. She left her 20s and entered the world of 30s. Anyhow- we headed down to Seguin that same weekend. While there, we stopped at Grandma the Great's house. Let me tell you something about her house... she has M&Ms out ALL THE TIME!! Seriously, all the time. I know it, too. The first thing I do is head to the kitchen for the candy jar. You can see I had to get bribed with an M&M to sit on Grandma the Great's lap. It's not that I didn't WANT to sit on her lap, it's just I knew if I ACTED like I didn't want to, I'd get more M&Ms.... suckas!!

Bathtime Colors

After using Ashtyn's bath crayons, I got some of my own. This is one of my favorite things to do now. Sometimes Daddy hates to give me a bath because I won't get out. I call it "luhlerin".
