Children's Day at Harvest Church

Well, Children's day was the weekend BEFORE Mother's day. It's a day at our church where kids TAKE OVER... everything except the preaching. Evidently, they're trying to convince pastor Bill to let a kid preach next year. He's just afraid we'll get out too early! Anyhow- Kid U is the kids choir (I'm too little right now) and they sing and lead the entire worship service music part.

Then all the nursery kids get to march into the auditorium with our Sunday School Teachers. I got to ride in the buggy! Our class waited in the foyer until it was time to march in. Mommy came out and took some pictures of our class... this is what I did when she told me to "say cheese."

Here's our class... lined up ready to go!

Entering the sanctuary.

Kid U performed a special song. I really liked the music. Not everyone in my class were what we'd call "fans" of the loud music. :) The one crying is a visitor. All the kids out on stage...Well, that buggy ride sure wore me out. After church, Mommy came to pick me up from the nursery and this is what she found. They said I actually fell asleep in the middle of playing. After Mommy woke me up, we all went outside on the side of the church for a picnic. We grill hotdogs. Some people fly kites. They brought in a big mountain for the kids to climb, too!

This year, God sent us a RAINBOW special for Children's day. The really cool thing is- he didn't even make it rain first. I guess it was his way of showing us he's happy we celebrate kids. After all, I hear his son really liked children!

If you look close, you can see the rainbow between me and Mommy. (Don't worry, she had a little sweater thing on during church.)OUR FAMILY!!!
