A Porter Family Christmas

After looking at what Santa brought me, GraNanny, Grandad, Aunt Leslie, Todd and Krista all came over to open gifts. Too bad no one got anything.... (that's sarcasm- I'm learning it from Daddy.)

Grananny helped me open gifts.
If some of you out there don't have children, you haven't experienced the joy of hearing your child whine while they wait for their parent to painstakingly twist the millions of non breakable bullet proof twisty ties off the best new toy in the world... tick, tock, tick, tock. We opened presents for quite some time... Grandad helped learn what to do with my most unique gift- a real drum from Todd and Krista. Todd even had it tuned for me. Well, that was fun... maybe I can do it again soon. What? You mean it's really not Christmas yet? There's more?!?! WOO-HOO!!

Those twisty ties are evil. Why is it necessary to fasten toys to the cardboard box with impenetrable armor. Seriously they should make airplanes out of that stuff.

Merry Christmas Thatch!

Just a little thing that we have figured out through the years with the evil ties....we use a pair of finger nail clippers to snap them in half and then they come right off! Easier then sitting there trying to untwist ALL of them. Hope that works next time! Looks like you all had a great Christmas!

I don't know what's worse, those ties or the things that are encased in plastic that you need to cut open. Oh, of course, then there are those things that require assembling and the 50 million stickers that need to be applied. Santa sure has it rough.

Happy Christmas, Thatcher!!

What fun we had at your house for Christmas. We all got some really cool gifts...especially you. I think the drum was the neatest. Your first real official musical instrument.
