Workin' my fingers to the bone

Well, if you people out there in Cyber world don't know this already... I'm from Texas. One of the weird things about living in Texas is one day it's hot, the next day it's cold, and the next it's hot again. We spent all week bundled up in sweaters and jackets, but today was nice fall weather. Mommy told me I had some work to do. Can you believe it? WORK?! I had to paint our fence. Take a look...

Wow! That's good. I didn't know you knew how to spell "Boogie". Did you have help? Maybe you can help me in my workshop! Grandpa likes to build be he doesn't like to paint. Can't wait to see you, mommy and daddy. I think I saw a present for you under the Christmas tree. Love you a bunch!

You are such a great painter! What a wonderful idea to keep a young man busy. You can also practice your different art techniques and maybe not get yelled at!

My goodness, if they have you painting the fence now, I imagine they'll have you mowing the lawn next summer.

Thatcher I guess your Mommy wasn't paying attention when we talked about child labor laws when we taught our students about the industrial revolution. Make sure she pays you well in good stuff like cookies or toys.
